Kołczewo is situated in the immediate vicinity of Lake Kołczewo (approx. 49 ha), which is popular with anglers and those seeking peaceful places for a stroll. Right next to it lies Lake Koprowo – the largest lake on the island of Wolin, forming a natural barrier against the hustle and bustle of the cities.
It takes around 10–20 minutes to reach the Baltic coastline from Kołczewo. The route leads through woodland. The local beaches are generally much less crowded than those in Międzyzdroje or Dziwnów.
For cycling enthusiasts, Kołczewo is a key stop on the EuroVelo 10 (Velo Baltica) route. Well-maintained cycle paths run along the coast, linking the town with nearby resorts and offering safe cycling conditions through the forests of the Wolin National Park.
Despite its peaceful atmosphere, Kołczewo offers complete self-sufficiency to guests staying in our year-round holiday cottages. On site you will find:
A well-stocked Dino supermarket and local independent shops, allowing you to stock up on fresh produce every day.
Local bars serving fish and seasonal snack bars. A wider range of restaurants is available in Wisełka (3 km) or Międzywodzie (7 km).
The village is situated on provincial road No. 102. The journey to Międzyzdroje takes approx. 15 minutes, and to Dziwnów approx. 12 minutes.
